"At the start of 2010 we decided to renovate our 150 year old, three level terrace. This required structural work, a new roof, completely new electricals, a totally new kitchen area, refurbished deck including waterproofing and tiling, rebuilt Juliet balcony off the second bedroom.
Joe Ovidi helped us initially to assess the extent of the work required, listening to how we used the different spaces. His respect for quality and functionality meant that we were well guided. Joe was keen to maintain the terrace’s period features, even polishing the original floorboards himself. His network of contacts meant that other contractors proved excellent: painters; plasterer; electrician; floor tilers of balconies; balustrade builder.
Throughout the 10 month process, Joe was available, always responding quickly to phone calls, visited the work site daily and invited emails listing jobs to be competed. Earlier this year, my husband and I purchased our first home; an older house in the suburbs that needed quite extensive cosmetic renovation. I first came across Central Coast Building Repairs in the search for an expert to make some repairs to the piers beneath the home.
